About Us

The History of Tetbury Society was formed to provide a focus for historical research activity within the town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, UK.
We run regular events on many different historical subjects relating to Tetbury and the surrounding area.
We have a large archive of photographs, documents and more, and most of them can be searched and viewed on the Internet.

Membership
Membership is £15.00 per annum (as of May 2024) and the quarterly journal subscription is an extra £8.00 per annum.
Membership can be paid in cash or cheque to the History of Tetbury Society – contact us to find out more about membership.

Please note:
We sometimes visit other towns and sites of interest. These visits often take place in the afternoon and the times will be shown on our events page. To book places for the summer visits, please contact the Chairman.

We sometimes hold meetings using the “Zoom” video conference system. If you are a member, you will be sent instructions on how to join these meetings by email.

Annual Events
Each year we hold 2 exhibitions in the Market House, Tetbury. The first is on Woolsack Weekend and the second on Heritage Weekend. Details are available on our events page.
