The History of Tetbury Society was formed to provide a focus for historical research activity within the town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, UK.
We run regular events on many different historical subjects relating to Tetbury and the surrounding area.
We have a large archive of photographs, documents and more, and most of them can be searched and viewed on the Internet.
Membership and Fees
Membership is £15.00 per annum.
Our quarterly journal subscription is an extra charge, on top of the membership charge.
You can choose how to receive your journal and these options are set out in the membership form:
- Delivered digitally (by email) – Add £4.00 per annum
- Printed copy, available at meetings – Add £8.00 per annum
- Printed copy, delivered by post – Add £16.00

Zoom Meetings
- We sometimes hold meetings using the “Zoom” video conference system.
- If you are a member, you will be sent instructions on how to join these meetings by email.
Afternoon Visits
- We sometimes visit other towns and sites of interest.
- These visits often take place in the afternoon and there is usually a small fee for these visits.
- The fee and the times will be shown on our events page.
- To book places for the summer visits, please contact the Chairman.
Annual Events
- Each year we hold 2 exhibitions in the Market House, Tetbury.
- The first is on Woolsack Weekend and the second on Heritage Weekend.
