About Us

The History of Tetbury Society was formed to provide a focus for historical research activity within the town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, UK.
The Society runs regular events on many different historical subjects. See our events page for details.

Meetings
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. From September to May we meet at 7.30pm in Christ Church, The Chipping. During the summer months June to August, we assemble in The Chipping car park at 6.45pm for our visits, unless for an afternoon visit.

To book places for the summer visits, names to the Chairman.

We sometimes hold meetings using the “Zoom” video conference system.

If you are a member, you will be sent instructions on how to join these meetings by email.

Annual Events
Each year we hold 2 exhibitions in the Market House, Tetbury. The first is on Woolsack Weekend and the second on Heritage Weekend.

Membership
Membership is £12.00 per annum and the quarterly journal subscription is an extra £8.00 per annum. Membership can be paid in cash or cheque to the History of Tetbury Society.
